It's been a few weeks since we've seen Microsoft's Xbox One backward compatibility program in action, mainly because it's been dormant leading up to the Electronic Entertainment Expo. But the company got back on the ball today, revealing five new titles that are now playable from the classic Xbox 360 game library.

Perhaps the most noteworthy title is Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, one of the most popular games in Ubisoft's series. This one enables you to play through another thrilling adventure in the series, allowing you to work your way through a number of stages while you clean house with your assassin skills. Completionists should absolutely love this game, if they haven't played it enough already.

But that's not all. Radiant Silvergun, a Treasure "shmup" that thrived in the Sega Saturn era, came out for Xbox 360 a few years ago with a new HD version, featuring some gameplay tweaks and the same thrilling challenge we've come to expect from the developer. This game is now available for play as well, joining the company's previous releases, Guardian Heroes HD, Gunstar Heroes and Ikaruga, in the line-up.

Next up is Cyber Troopers: Virtual On OT (Oratorio Tangram), Sega's follow-up in the hit robot combat series. This was released as a downloadable title a few years ago, and offered a number of options for players. Now that it's available on Xbox One, players can enjoy it again.

Also joining the program is Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, a 3D flying adventure that takes place during the World War II era, requiring you to shoot enemies out of the sky and complete other challenges for your country. It's a great game, and you can find it for fairly cheap at GameStop if you don't have it yet.

Last but certainly not least, another Capcom classic is joining the program. Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 came out a few years back for Xbox 360, and provides plenty of great twin-stick shoot-em-up action for the affordable price of $9.99. If you enjoyed other arcade games of this type, this is definitely worth adding to your library.

We'll keep you informed of what other additions join the program over the next few weeks!
