As expected, Nintendo will once again take up residence at San Diego Comic-Con next week, with attendees and non-attendees alike being able to visit its gaming room and check out its forthcoming hits for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.

The publisher revealed that it will host its special event from July 20th through July 23rd at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, where players of all ages will be able to check out Super Mario Odyssey for the first time, amongst other playable games that will be on the show floor. These include Pokken Tournament DX and Splatoon 2, which will be available in multiplayer fashion.

Nintendo will also be presenting the multiplayer game Flip Wars on the show floor for the first time, which will be releasing for Nintendo Switch on August 10th. As expected, the SNES Classic Edition will also be on display for the first time.

There will be tournaments over the course of the four days, in which fans will have a chance to win prizes. There will also be Splatoon 2 related events, although Nintendo didn't confirm if that means paintball or not.

Along with Super Mario Odyssey, the following Switch games will be available for play:

  • Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • 1-2-Switch!
  • ARMS
  • Splatoon 2
  • Pokken Tournament DX
  • EA Sports FIFA
  • Super Bomberman R
  • Ultra Street Fighter II
  • Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition

And, for good measure, here are the Nintendo 3DS games that will be available.

  • Hey! Pikmin
  • Miitopia
  • Pokemon Sun
  • Pokemon Moon
  • Super Mario Maker
  • Super Smash Bros.

It's a bit disappointing that Metroid: Samus Returns won't be present, but there's still plenty to do on the floor over the four day event. In addition, fans can grab pictures with special Splatoon 2 weaponry in a set-up photo booth, and the first 20 that show up per day to get their pictures taken in Splatoon 2-themed costumes will walk away with special gifts for their trouble.

Sure, San Diego Comic-Con will be a busy, bustling show, but make sure you save some time to stop by the Nintendo booth and have a little fun with Mario!
