If you are one of the many fans wanting to see more of Jared Leto's Joker, then you may get a big surprise this weekend. According to a new report from ScreenRant, the site claims to have learned that Warner Bros. is developing a spin-off for Harley Quinn and the Joker.
According to the new report, the Harley Quinn/Joker film is being described as a spin-off much like the vixen's future outing with Gotham City Sirens. The film is expected to feature Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn as the pair debuted their characters in Suicide Squad last year. Geoff Johns is expected to produce the film, but there are no details available about the spin-off's release date or production schedule. ScreenRant says it is possible Warner Bros. will give out more of those details when Warner Bros. holds its San Diego Comic-Con panel tomorrow.
Of course, the reported spin-off is just one of the many films DC Films is said to be cooking up behind-the-scenes. The studio has announced a slew of projects just this year with Batgirl and Nightwing joining its roster. Production is still underway on Aquaman, and Warner Bros. is expected to begin shooting on Shazam! next. Other films like Gotham City Sirens, The Batman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps are still sitting upon the DCEU's shelf. So, if Warner Bros. does confirm plans for a Harley Quinn/Joker spin-off tomorrow, then the studio will welcome yet another feature to its impending line-up.
