Syfy's Wynonna Earp, a supernatural Western from showrunner Emily Andras and loosely based on the comics by Beau Smith, is a show full of big, shocking moments -- and during a conversation yesterday at Comic Con International in San Diego, we asked several cast members to tell us which moments surprised them the most, or gave them an "oh s--t moment" while reading the script.

"When I had to breathe fire," joked Shamier Anderson, who plays Xavier Dolls on the cult hit. "I was like 'oh, s--t. Is it going to be CGI, or am I going to have to become a method actor and actually breathe fire? That was a big worry for me."

"The thing is, we're never safe, so I never know," admitted Tim Rozon, who plays Doc Holliday, a little more seriously. "Every episode, there's that one part that I was like 'What?' I just never feel safe and I'm never ready for anything."

"When [Dominique Provost-Chalkley] kisses me," title lead Melanie Scrofano said, drawing the approval of Chalkley as well as her onscreen love interest Katherine Barrell.

"I was going to say another one, and then I was like, 'no, it is definitely the two times you do that!,'" Scrofano added, pointing to Provost-Chalkley.

"The obvious one for me, it has to be when I touched the goo and then became possessed," said Provost-Chalkley, who plays Scrofano's sister Waverly. "I was like 'what the...?' I never saw that coming, genuinely."

"For me, there's a moment in a script that hasn't aired yet, which is a real big 'oh shit' moment for Nicole," said Barrell, who plays Officer Nicole Haught.

We got her to tease the scene, saying that audiences should listen for the word "secrets."

Showrunner Emily Andras admitted that she sometimes has that moment of realization that an actor is going to freak out when they read a scene, but added, "...and more importantly, the fans. I'm going to have to change my address, fake my own death, but I feel like that's when you know you've done it right. These guys are so good, and I hope as a cast they can come to me and be like, 'Is this too far?' And that hasn't happened yet, so -- challenge accepted!"
