Pokemon Go
has made a much needed tweak to its raid rewards system. As of 7:15 PM ET, players can now earn Potions, Super Potions, Hyper Potions, and Max Potions when they beat a Raid. Previously, players could only earn Revives, Rare Candies, and TMs when beating Raids.

While the addition of Potions might seem like a minor tweak, players are already praising the change. Since Revives only heals a Pokemon to 50% of their Max HP, a lot of players who frequently go on Raids have trouble keeping enough Potions in stock to keep their Pokemon back up to full strength.

As of right now, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how Pokemon Go is distributing potions. It appears that the game gives potions out in sets of five, but it seems totally random as to what type of Potions players earn. Some players have even reported getting sets of five Super Potions and five Hyper Potions as rewards for the same Raids.

The tweak seems to be another sign that Pokemon Go is actively listening to its fanbase about the game. Many players (especially on Reddit) have requested Potions as a reward for Raids since they discovered how quickly they ran through Potions. Giving out potions as a Raid reward also encourages players to do Raids more frequently as they no longer need to wait to re-stock on Potions.

The next few weeks should be pretty big for Raiding in Pokemon Go. Not only are the Legendary Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo all available, a lot of players will be finding new gyms to raid at to prepare for the arrival of Mewtwo in the game. Players can improve their odds of getting invited to one of Mewtwo's Exclusive Raids by beating normal Raids at as many gyms as they can.
