Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super's 28th chapter lie below!

Dragon Ball Super has a complex cosmology, and it only gets worse when the Gods of Destruction are mentioned. The anime has done a lot to investigate the twelve universes and their gods, but Dragon Ball Super's manga took it a step further. After all, its 28th chapter gives fans a pretty good idea of which God of Destruction is the strongest.

So, yeah - maybe Goku shouldn't mess around with Beerus anymore.

Viz Media recently released the official English translation of Dragon Ball Super's 28th chapter. The update, which can be read here, shows fans how powerful Beerus is. The chapter shows the gods as they convene for an emergency meeting before the Omni-Kings. Before the group can continue, the gods are all forced to participate in an exhibition match, and Beerus gets ganged up on quickly.

After all, the Universe 7 god says Goku is the one to blame for the Tournament of Power. The other gods are all too eager to beat down Beerus after they learn that fact. However, the fighters don't get the chance to knock the deity out.

All of the gods choose to team up against Beerus. They rush to attack him all at once, but Beerus very easily dispatches them despite the onslaught. When the god is caught by Mosco, he manages to escape and even knock the robot out before the other gods can get to him. Beerus manages to throw the others off his trail long enough to charge one intense energy blast, and the gods looked shocked by Beerus' power.

Of course, the gods are not the only ones surprised by how intense Beerus is fighting. The Omni-Kings and Grand Priest also look taken back, and Goku even asks Whis is the others are "still alive after that." The other gods do survive the attack thanks to Sidra's last-minute shielding, but the God of Destruction looks shaken by the attack. If Sidra hasn't gotten up the blast, then the other gods would have been toast.

Dragon Ball Super has positioned Beerus to be the strongest God of Destruction, but there are some fans who'd push back against the claim. The exhibition match which Beerus fought in hardly let the other gods go full-out, but the Universe 7 deity did put up one convincing showing. With so much raw power at his disposal, Beerus was able to overwhelm his opponents when they rushed him, but Dragon Ball Super will only be able to crown a real winner if it lets all 12 gods duke it out for real.

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
