Netflix has just announced that Tiger & Bunny is now available for streaming, with the anime written by Masafumi Nishida and directed by Keiichi Sato increasing Netflix's anime options. The manga was originally released October 2001 and ran until November 2014, while the anime had 25 episodes and ran from April 2011 to September 2011.

However, since the anime's release, there has been a number of side products created that were based on the original work including two feature films in Tiger& Bunny: The Beginning released in 2012 and Tiger & Bunny: The rising, which was released later in 2014. In addition to the anime and the two feature films, the franchise has also inspired a PSP games in March 2012 called Tiger & Bunny Heroes Day.

For those unfamiliar with the Tiger & Bunny series then this is a summary of what you can now stream on Netflix. The series takes place in NC 1978, a fictional version of New York City where 54 years earlier a super-powered group of individuals known as NEXT started appearing, with some becoming superheroes. Each famous superhero works for a sponsor company, with their uniforms containing advertising from each of those companies. The heroes work is then displayed on Hero TV, where they accumulate points with the winner being crowned as the Kings of Heroes.

The story mainly focuses on a veteran hero named Kotetsu T. Kaburagi aka Wild Tiger, who has recently been assigned a new partner. This youngster is named Barnaby Brooks Jr and the two have trouble working together, mainly due to them both having conflicting opinions about how a superhero should act. In addition, they also struggle to work together as they attempt to crack a murder mystery of Barnaby's parents. The questioning the meaning of the word hero is brought to the public eye by the appearance of homicidal vigilante NEXT named Lunatic.
