CD Projekt Red, the team behind the popular The Witcher games, has been hard at work on its latest project, Cyberpunk 2077. And while the game is still moving along in development, with no new information, some leaks have indicated that it's going to have one hell of a social hub.

This information comes from the Triple S League, who have provided details in the past about the project, and while that indicates it's not official by any means, if they end up being true, it could be a huge part of the game.

The rumor, which also features contribution by Madqueen Show, indicates that the social hub will act as a bridge between the single-player portion of the game and multiplayer, where players can enter bars to find in-game activities that will tie the two together. But it won't be like a typical MMO experience, instead with the social aspects being a little more wide open, instead of completely clustered, like day one of Destiny or Tom Clancy's The Division.

The team reportedly noted that making the engine work with the hub, and bringing that social aspect to just the right degree, is a "huge part of the plan," and that a lot of effort is going into making sure that it works.

Triple S also noted that the team is "working on a new thing for the bar," with a mini-game set-up, kind of like how Gwent worked. It also might "be dance mod," although those details haven't been made clear just yet.

While CD Projekt Red hasn't spoken officially on the hub, it did make note of several job listings indicating that it was looking for team members that could specifically work on such a thing – so it could very well end up happening.

Again, without official word, we can't say if this is the real deal or not, but if CD Projekt Red can find a way to pull this off, it'll go a long way into providing some social buzz for the forthcoming title. We'll just have to wait and see what the developer has in store for us.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development and doesn't have a release date yet.
