'The Gifted': "Boxed In" Preview Released

Fox has released the preview for the upcoming fifth episode of the new X-Men drama The Gifted, entitled "BoXed In."

In the preview Sentinel Services agent Jace Turner reveals that he lost his daughter in a mutant-related incident and sees him gear up the mutant-hunting agency for war with the Mutant Underground. Incidentally, Dreamer herself actually mentions war, reminding the others that the X-Men predicted that "war is coming." You can check out the preview above.

Of course, it's not just war on the horizon for the mutants. The preview also shows Reed Strucker reunited with his family as well as a free Polaris appearing to work out some of her aggression on Sentinel Services agents and things don't look too good for Turner as the magnetic mutant approaches.

The fourth episode for The Gifted aired earlier this evening and saw the Mutant Underground intercept the transport van taking Polaris and Reed to a top secret mutant detention center and while the mutants were ultimately successful it wasn't without challenges. Their powers were dampened by a mutant on the Sentinel Services side named Pulse and from the looks of the preview, now the rescue has only escalated things on both sides – possibly even to the point of all-out war.

The Gifted airs Mondays at 9/8c on Fox.
