Silver and Black is starting to become a reality, as the film just received a working title and start date.

Silver and Black is one of Sony's Spider-Man universe spinoffs and features the Black Cat and Silver Sable as the co-leads. The film seems to have started moving forward in production with the working title Tri-Border, and is expected to begin shooting on March 5th according to That Hashtag Show. The production is set to run through mid-June.

Sony will film the movie in Atlanta, the same location they are using for their other Spider-Man spinoff Venom. Like Silver and Black, Venom will use characters not seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, at least that we know of.

When the project was originally announced, there were plenty of fans who were a bit skeptical that the project would actually move forward. The Black Cat is well known to fans, but mostly because of her affiliation with Spider-Man, but Silver Sable doesn't have that same kind of clout. It's also not known if Spider-Man Tom Holland will be appearing in Silver and Black to provide a tether to that successful franchise, but it seems Sony is confident in the project.

Not much is known about the plot to Silver and Black, but an earlier report surfaced last year revealing some plot details. The report reveals that Silver Sable, a mercenary by trade, is hunting down Felicia Hardy, aka the Black Cat. Sable is hunting down Black Cat to get to Mendel Stromm, but Stromm is also hunting for Hardy with the help of Scorpion and Tarantula, but Sable doesn't know that. None of that has been confirmed, but it does make for an interesting caper premise.

Silver And Black currently holds a 3.30 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings, which you can vote in here.

Silver and Black is expected in theaters on February 8, 2019.
