Jean-Claude Van Damme recently dismissed the story of an altercation in Mexico, and that isn't sitting too well with Jason David Frank.

Frank is currently appearing at Wizard World and was asked by the fans if he would fight Van Damme in an official match. Frank was open to the idea, but also made his feelings towards Van Damme's account of their altercation clear.

"I have respect for everyone, but when I start losing respect for people is when the fibs and the lies start coming out, like the whole thing in Mexico," Frank said. "He said that didn't happen. That offends me now. Now I'm offended because you said it didn't happen because now you're calling me a liar."

Frank also addressed those who say Van Damme is older and Frank is just picking on him because he won't fight.

"It would be great for a charity event, and I want people to understand this," Frank said. "Some people are like 'yeah, but he's old' but the guy's out there sparring, attempting to spar MMA guys alright, so he's in MMA gyms, so what do you want me to tell the guy. 'Well, you're too old to fight' when he doesn't think he's too old to fight."

"I don't understand the concept of fans when I say something and they're like oh he could kick your butt or he's old, why you picking on an old guy," Frank continued. "The guy's at MMA gyms trying to spar MMA fighters right. What am I doing, I'm at a Comic Con, so of course I'd fight that guy."

The altercation happened at a comic convention in Mexico, where Frank says Van Damme and his entourage invited him to their room for a picture but things went downhill quickly.

"All of his crew comes out and everybody has their cameras out and he has this professional camera, I'm not sure if he's shooting a reality show or what, but all the cameras are on and he comes out of the room and straight up to me and he goes 'hey you like writing articles about people, you want to beat my ass?" Frank said. "You gonna apologize for that?' and I said nope. He goes 'you think you can still beat my ass?' and I said yeah."

Video emerged of the two butting heads, but it didn't catch any actual altercation (at least from the video that's been released). In any case, it seems these two are destined to settle things in the octagon.
