Freeza has had some major moments in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power, but fans have been waiting for the villain to get more serious in his fights. He's been playing around so far, and now the next episode of Dragon Ball Super teases Freeza getting serious once again.

Fans have seen Golden Freeza in short bursts in the Tournament of Power, but Episode 124 teases Golden Freeza will finally be around for a good amount of time in the fight against Toppo and Dyspo.

The preview for the episode teases a big team up between Gohan and Freeza when Dyspo shifts his attention away from the villain toward Gohan. We see Golden Freeza launch an array of Death Beams meant to lock Dyspo into a smaller area so Gohan can fight him fairly. Dyspo's speed has made him a fearsome foe, but if he can't run away then Gohan has a good shot.

Freeza and Gohan have teamed up in the past when Freeza attacked Gohan in order to trick Universe 6's Frost. The two were able to communicate through their fists, and had a surprising amount of chemistry that fans did not expect. Perhaps it will be the same here.

The question is why Gohan is the one fighting Dyspo as Freeza was hilariously revealed to be unharmed in his and Dyspo's fight in Episode 123. After Dyspo dragged him along the ground, Freeza rose unharmed. When Dyspo asked how he was able to do so, Freeza responded with the cutting, "How? That's what I'd like to know. How could you think an attack like that could possibly take me down?"

With this Gohan and Freeza team up fans are sure wondering how the fight with Dyspo will turn out.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" arc is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. DragonBall Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.

There is also currently a new Dragon Ball film in the works for 2018. The film will focus on the Saiyans, the "origins of Goku's power," and potentially the story of the very first Super Saiyan God. Not only does it aim to be the best film in the series, original creator Akira Toriyama will be contributing to the film's script and new character designs.
