The next episode of Dragon Ball Super teased an upcoming Gohan and Freeza team-up as well as the return of Golden Freeza, but it also teases a treacherous situation for Gohan who is going to fight Dyspo.

The preview for Episode 124 of the series sees Dyspo turn his attention to Gohan after his attacks had no effect on Freeza, and now Gohan is going to enact a big plan with Freeza to hopefully take down the foe. By the looks of a teasing image for the episode, Gohan just may be successful in this ploy.

As you can see in the image, Gohan manages to catch Dyspo in the episode. Some fans have called the image into suspect due to its lower quality in comparison to Toei's other preview images, but the new still hosted on Toei's website. Twitter user @ArchedThunder has a good explanation for that as well.

As @ArchedThunder explains, the lighting of the image is because some light is shining on the them. It's most likely a ki blast or explosion, which would make sense given that part of Gohan's upcoming plan is for Freeza to surround the two fighters with Death Beams. The light of the ki blasts themselves are part of the episode's post processing, which never are included into the preview images.

Beyond the image quality, the image teases quite a great move for Gohan who fans have been impressed by in the Tournament of Power. While the title of the episode, "The Fiercely Overwhelming Assault! Gohan's Last Stand!" teases a possible elimination for the character, fans are hoping otherwise.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" arc is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. DragonBall Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.

There is also currently a new Dragon Ball film in the works for 2018. The film will focus on the Saiyans, the "origins of Goku's power," and potentially the story of the very first Super Saiyan God. Not only does it aim to be the best film in the series, original creator Akira Toriyama will be contributing to the film's script and new character designs.
