Avengers: Infinity War is slated to have an enormous cast, but there might be one character missing when it finally hits theaters.

That would seem to be Sharon Carter, who is played by Emily VanCamp. The actress was promoting her new series The Resident when she was asked about not being attached to Infinity War at the moment. From her statement, it seems she might not be showing up again until another Captain America film.

"I mean listen, it's hard to fit Sharon into that," VanCamp told BUILD. "She's really in Cap's world, you know what I mean? So, I mean, I can't say anything about anything, but I will say that you know she sort of fits into the Captain America movies, that's where her sort of story lies, but I can tell you it's going to be like an epic two-parter. From everything that I hear ya know, it's going to be amazing, and the Russo Brothers are phenomenal. I mean they can do no wrong really, so I'm excited to see it."

Carter last showed up in Captain America: Civil War, where she was instrumental in helping Cap recover Winter Soldier and getting away from SHIELD custody. She clearly chose her side, and she and Cap even shared a kiss by film's end (much to the giddiness of Falcon and Winter Soldier from the car).

It seems though she could be sitting these two films out, as Avengers 4 was shot back to back with Avengers: Infinity War. That's a bit disappointing, but hopefully, Captain America will be alive and well out of Avengers 4 so we can see her grace the big screen as Carter once more.

Before the interview was over though BUILD brought up another Marvel hero who they would love to see her fight alongside, saying "well one day I hope we see you fighting alongside Chris Pratt in a major major Marvel movie!" VanCamp got a kick out of that, saying "That would be great, Brad and Amy fighting alongside each other, that would be epic."

VanCamp starred alongside Pratt in the series Everwood, which had the two actors playing siblings.

Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters on May 4. The Resident airs on FOX Mondays at 9/8 central.
