Nintendo Theme Park Attractions In The Works At Universal

Jamie Lovett

Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts are teaming up to bring Nintendo’s family of iconic video game characters to theme parks for the first time.

The partnership will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature “Nintendo’s most famous characters and games.”

No further details were revealed at this time, but will be revealed after Universal and Nintendo have done some work creating specific concepts.

Nintendo certainly has a vast library of characters and worlds to translate. Perhaps we’ll see the Mushroom Kingdom of the Mario games brought to life, or The Legend of Zelda’s Hyrule. As these are world’s designed from the start for play and adventure, they certainly seem like natural choices for the theme park treatment.
