‘Dragon Ball Super’ Preview May Tease A New Universe 7 Ally

Dragon Ball Super is in the home stretch of its current saga. The ‘Universal Survival’ storyline is slated to wrap this March, and Goku’s squad just has Universe 11 left to fight. When the anime returns this weekend, it will do so with a brand-new episode, but its latest preview has fans a tad bit confused.

After all, no one is quite sure why another God of Destruction has up and joined Beerus with his team.

The official Twitter page for Dragon Ball Super released a series of new stills for its next episode, but one caught the attention of fans. The image, which can be see below, shows a reaction shot of Universe 7 as its outed members look upon the arena in shock. Krillin and Tien seem taken aback by what is happening in front of them, and even Shin looks surprised. However, there is a newcomer seen lurking behind the trio.

If you look closely, you can see the God of Destruction from Universe 3 is sitting with Beerus’ team. The bottom-half of Arack is shown, so fans can not see if the deity looks as shocked as Tien. Fans are not sure what to make of Arack’s appearance, but they think it may have to do with a sort-of alliance. Well, a bet more like it.

With two universes left in the Tournament of Power, bets are surely going down as to who will win. Beerus and Belmod are surely hyping their respective teams, but there are four more gods who have yet to pick a side. The event did not force Arack, Gene, Iwen, and Liquir to join in as their universes had a high mortal rank. The quartet have been watching the tournament up until now, so the group may disperse and stake their claim on the team they feel will win. Arack may believe Goku can pull an upset against Jiren, or the god might want to ask Beerus about his unique team.

Of course, Arack is not the only one interested in Universe 7. The still above houses yet another surprise for fans. If you look behind Shin, you can see the lower-half of Campair of Universe 3 sitting behind the god, so the angel may have put thrown his lot with Beerus’ gang. So, fans can only hope these guys put their faith in the right fighters.

Dragon Ball Super's “Universal Survival” arc is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. DragonBall Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.
