Let's give a round of applause to Warner Bros. Japan. The film studio has been a key advocate for live-action anime adaptations, and it seems like their work on Fullmetal Alchemist may be their finest yet. Later this year, the first live-action imagining of Fullmetal Alchemist will hit theaters, and fans are understandably nervous about what they might get in return. Many of those fears were abated when the studio released a short teaser trailer for the movie, and now, its official Twitter is teasing fans with a behind-the-scenes prop picture.

Not long ago, the Twitter accounted shared a congratulatory post to celebrate the birthday of the actor playing General Hakuro. The state military character is a notable one in the anime, and Warner Bros. Japan decided to pay homage to Hakuro's career by sharing a picture of Amestris Military's coat of arms.

"To celebrate the birthday of Mr. Koshinaga Masayo, the special coat of arms of the "Amestris Military" in the play, to which General Haro belongs, is released!" reads the translated caption.

A photo of the prop coat of arms was shared with fans who agree the picture is rather beautiful. The military insignia can be seen molded into a white wall and it shows the iconic image of chimera-like beast roaring into the distance. The coat of arms is seen often in the anime whenever viewers are brought to the capital of Amestris. The headquarters for the State Military is filled with the symbol, and its main entrance features a massive sign of the beast above its doors.

This is not the first time that the Fullmetal Alchemist team has released teaser photos of the live-action endeavor. Earlier this month, the folks shared an official photo of Edward and Alphonse Elric from the film. The two brothers could be seen standing on a train platform, and it was the first image given of Alphonse that showed him in his full armor bodysuit.

If you are not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, then you have plenty of time to watch the anime before its live-action film arrives. The series follows brothers Edward and Alphonse after their mother tragically passes. They attempt to use alchemy to resurrect her, but the attempt takes Edward's arm and leg - and it takes Alphonse's entire body. Determined to get their bodies restored, Edward and Alphonse try to become State Alchemists so they can find the location of a powerful item known as the Philosopher's Stone. But their journey ultimately leads them into a seedy world of government corruption and mass genocide.

Fullmetal Alchemist will debut in Japan in December.
