The Bleach anime may have ended a few years ago, but the fandom surrounded Tite Kubo's story is still very alive. The supernatural franchise got its start as a manga under Weekly Shonen Jump, and it quickly became one of the publication's most popular titles. However, fans have long complained that the franchise wasn't given a fair shot in the video game market. Only a handful of console or mobile titles have been released for Bleach, but fans are thinking that could soon change.

Over on Twitter, Bleach fans were sent into a frenzy when the CEO of CyberConnect2 posted an interesting photo on Twitter. The tweet contained a sketch image of Ichigo Kurosaki, the lead protagonist of Bleach. The tweet's content made no reference to an impending game title, but fans became suspicious of the post after it was quickly deleted.

Of course, video game fans will be familiar with CyberConnect2 as the company is the developer of many Naruto games. Most recently, the company released Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 to rave reviews and are currently working on a remake of Final Fantasy VII. In the pasty, the company has also made video games for .hack//Sign and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

At the moment, no official word has been given on the subject, but fans are already reaching out to CyberConnect2 in the hopes that the company is developing a video game. It has been nearly five years since the Bleach anime ended, and the manga came to a close shortly after. Fans of the series still have a special place for the action-packed franchise, and a game like Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Storm could revitalize those fans who miss seeing shinigami fight.

If you are not familiar with Bleach, then you can always take time to catch-up. Created by Tite Kubo, the manga was first published in 2001 by Weekly Shōnen Jump. Since its release, Bleach has become one of the most popular mangas in history as it still ranks as a best-selling series in both Japan and the U.S. Bleach has sold over 84 million copies in Japan alone, and the series has gone on to spawn spin-off media with its popular anime, video games, films, musicals, and tons of licensed merchandise.

So, what do you think? Would you be down for a Bleach console title to be released?
