One Punch Man fans get excited, because it looks like there will be new some original content coming your way soon. Viz Media has announced that it will be releasing six OVA episodes as a bonus to the new Blu-ray releases of the first One-Punch Man anime series. That's right six whole episodes, because you can never have enough Saitama in your life.

These OVA specials will only only be available in the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, and the Blu-ray only package. Which means if you are just getting One Punch Man in standard definition, you will not be getting the new six episodes. These new home releases will begin shipping out on April 25, 2017.

The new collectible combo pack will have more than just the new OVA specials, it will also be featuring other exclusives such as a booklet with exclusive interviews, six collectible art cards, character profiles, and more. Preorders are being accepted now from Rightstuf, where if you preorder you will also be getting a "bonus item". The store describes the show below:

"Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of "special" training, though, he's become so strong that he's practically invincible. In fact, he's too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch, and it turns out that being devastatingly powerful is actually kind of a bore. With his passion for being a hero lost along with his hair, yet still faced with new enemies every day, how much longer can he keep it going?"

One Punch Man's special edition Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will be retail for $59.99, the Blu-ray alone will be $49.99, and the standard DVD-only will be $39.99.

The six OVAs first appeared in the Japanese home release. These episodes are a new original story that are written by ONE, the original author of the manga and anime.

The show first appeared in Japan in October of 2015, and ran for 12 episodes. The show was an immediate success in Japan and also abroad as it was simulcast around the world. Adult Swim then premiered One Punch, with an English dub, which helped propel the show to its current popularity.
