Funimation Announces Attack On Titan Season 2 SimulDub

Spring has arrived, and with it comes flowers, allergies, and new anime. One of the biggest shows in the anime world, Attack On Titan, has finally returned for it's second season and is available in more ways to watch than ever before. Currently, the show is available to simulcast the same day as release in Japan on multiple streaming services, including Funimation. Today, Fuimation announced that there will be launching dubbed episodes of Attack On Titan this spring as well.

These new dubbed episodes are part of Funimation's new 'Simuldub' service, in which episodes will be released with an English Dub the same day they are released in Japan. The Attack On Titan Season 2 Simuldub will launch on April 23rd, 2017. Attack On Titan will not be the only SimulDub for this spring however, the service currently running the My Hero Academia Season 2 SimulDub and has many more Spring anime set to SimulDub in the near future as well.

Funimation describes Attack On Titan's second season as the following:

"Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every, last remaining Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!"

There were five other series revealed to be scheduled for a simuldub release this spring as well...

• Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor - April 25th

  "A twisted heroic fantasy featuring a magic teacher who hates magic! The story takes place in a world where magic and science have evolved side by side. The Alzano Imperial Magic Academy is located in the southern part of the Alzano Empire, one of the major magical powers, and it is among most prominent magic schools in the world, where students can learn the highest forms of magic. • Alice & Zoroku - May 3rd

• The Silver Guardian - May 3rd

  "High school students and pro–level gamers Riku Suigin and Riku Rei are about to get swept up in an RPG unlike any other they've played before. Before her mysterious disappearance, Rei sends Suigin a device to access a new tomb raiding game. Upon inspecting it, Suigin is transported into the game where it's up to him to put his skills to the test to save his friend."

• Clockwork Planet - May 8th

  "Earth ended years ago. In its place is a planet built from gears and clockwork parts. This is the home of high school student, Naoto Miura, a brilliant amateur tinkerer and an oddball who can hear and feel the movement of gears. One day, a black box comes crashing through the roof of his house, and inside of it is a female automaton. Her presence and his genius are bound to change the world."

• Sakura Quest - May 9th

  "Five young women have one thing in common—the careers they planned for themselves weren't working out. Job dissatisfaction, trying to make ends meet, and personal insecurities lead each of them to start working at a local tourism bureau where their lives become intertwined. As the girls experience their first year on the job, they learn a lot about their town, their industry, and themselves."
