Fate:Apocrypha

If you are not familiar with the Fate/Stay Night franchise, then you should know the series came out back in January 2004 as a video game. The story was then adapted into a manga series in Shonen Ace magazine starting in February 2016. Studio Deen then brought the story to life in an acclaimed anime series in 2010, and the franchise also pushed out a slew of spin-off light novels and video games in the past years.

Fate/Stay Night revolves around a young man named Shirō Emiya who is unwillingly entered into a dangerous magical tournament known as the Holy Grail War. The event pits powerful mages against one another as they fight for the Holy Grail, a mysterious object that has the power to grant any wish. Emiya, an orphan living in Fuyuki City, trains to become one the world's most powerful mages in order to help the city's poorer classes. However, those dreams are complicated when he encounter a young woman named Saber who helps him through the Holy Grail War.

As for Fate/Apocrypha, the series debuted back in 2012 and is set in a parallel world to the one fans saw in Fate/Stay Night. In this world, the Holy Grail was taken from Fuyuki City after one of the tournaments and follows two factions who are fighting over the item. The Red and Black teams are each comprised seven members who are overseen by the Clock Tower Mage's Association and Yggdmillennia. The franchise focuses on two protagonists Ruler and Sieg as an impending Great Holy Grail War grows on the horizon.
