Boruto Writer Reveals How Closely The Anime Works With Naruto Creator

Nearly two months ago Boruto: Naruto Next Generations made its debut to the world, and the sequel anime has slowly became a fan favorite. The new Shonen series had a bumpy start, but in the most recent episodes has expanded its world, started building relationships, and expanded on characters. Apparently the man behind the series, Ukuyo Kodachi, is working closely with the legendary Kishimoto, the mind behind the entire Naruto franchise.

Kodachi took to Twitter to talk about the relationship between him and the Naruto creator. Check out the original tweet and English translation below:

『BORUTO』は岸本さんの綿密な（本当に綿密な）チェックの上で作られていますが、８・９話は中でももともと一話だったのを「面白いからここをふくらまそう」「あれを増やそう」「こういうテーマにしよう」と僕と岸本さんが盛り上がった結果、脚本の三輪にだいぶ頑張ってもらうことになりました。

"Boruto has been written with Kishimoto-san meticulously (truly meticulously) checking over it. Episodes 8/9 were originally one episode, but Kishimoto was saying things like, "let's expand here because this is interesting," "more of that," and, "let's give it a theme like this." As a result of the excitement between myself and Kishimoto-san, I wound up working very hard on Miwa's screenplay."

Apparently, Kodachi is a part of every single step of the new series. It good to hear that the new series is being written with the franchise creator's thoughts and help, and will hopefully help guarantee that the new content will not be full of filler.
