Fans of Dragon Ball know how hard it can be for a hero to go Super Saiyan, and the journey was no different for Cabba it seems. The English dub of Dragon Ball Super just saw the Universe 6 fighter go Super Saiyan for the first time, and it was a traumatic experience for the poor kid.

Dragon Ball Super aired its 37th dubbed episode this weekend, and the release focused on Vegeta and Cabba's first battle. The pair were pitted against one another during the Universe 6 tournament, and Cabba seemed more excited to fight someone of his own race. However, that intrigue turned to fear quickly once Vegeta showed he would give Cabba no mercy.

During their fight, Cabba grabbed Vegeta's interest at first when the kid used a Galick Cannon with similar power to his own Galick Gun. When Vegeta tells the boy to go Super Saiyan, Cabba says he cannot enter the form and wants to be taught how. Vegeta does not explain anything to the boy about the transformation; He simply goes Super Saiyan and proceeds to beat Cabba within an inch of his consciousness.

Just before Vegeta can land a final blow against Cabba, the man threatens the kid's life. Vegeta says he will destroy Cabba's home planet once their battle has ended, and the threat is enough to spark some Super Saiyan rage within Cabba. The boy knocks away Vegeta's energy blast at the last moment and goes Super Saiyan after promising Vegeta will pay for his gruesome threats.

While Vegeta's promise to destroy Planet Sadala caught fans off-guard, it did not take long for audiences to learn the Saiyan was lying. Vegeta made the threat to provoke Cabba's anger so that he could go Super Saiyan, and Beerus was more than a bit miffed his fighter chose to teach Cabba rather than destroy him.

Of course, the God of Destruction didn't have to fret about the match for too long. Once Cabba proved he could go Super Saiyan at will, Vegeta one-upped the boy by going Super Saiyan Blue. The elder fighter then knocked Cabba unconscious with a swift punch to the gut, and the two Saiyans reconciled after Cabba said he would grow powerful enough to surpass Vegeta one day.

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami also airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
