Over the years, Dragon Ball fans have experienced their fair share of heartbreak, and franchise dug deep to make audiences experience that trauma again. Dragon Ball Super just bid farewell to two universes, and fans were not ready to say goodbye to Champa and his team.

During the anime's most recent episode, fans watched as the Tournament of Power claimed its next two eliminations. Universe 2 was taken out of the event after Goku eliminated its final three warriors with an intense Kamehameha. Gohan did the same for Universe 6 thanks to an assist from Piccolo, and the Omni-Kings were all too happy to annihilate the two universes.

Universe 2 was the first to go as the lovely team bid its contemporaries farewell. All those in Universe 2 seemed to accept the fate of their home, and Ribrianne encouraged her former enemies to continue fighting with love in their hearts. The entire team said their love would be given to the tournament's remaining contestants, and Ribrianne's squad hoped that would give them energy to fight on.

When it came time for Universe 6 to go, fans were left shaken at its somber tone. Vados was seen lamenting the fate of Champa, but audiences realized something was off about the angel's mourning.

"Oh, how can it be! All jokes and jabs aside, for this to be the real goodbye to Champa," she said whilst resting against her brother Whis. Champa yelled at his attendant for betraying him so quickly, but his focus soon shifted to the rest of Universe 6.

Despite being injured, Saoneru and Pirina had a touching talk with Caulifla before the girl fulfilled her promising of beating them should they lose. With their universe on the cusp of annihilation, Cabba wished Vegeta good luck before the boy was erased, and Champa stuck around just long enough to stick his tongue out at Beerus before being - well - killed.

The surprising losses caught plenty of fans by surprise, and Universe 6's destruction has been a hard pill to swallow. The team was the most well-known one to fans, and it stands as one of Dragon Ball Super's best additions yet. While audiences feel certain Universe 6 will be brought back, the sting of losing the entire Saiyan race (again) is a painful one, and Vegeta seems more than a bit upset about the result.
