It's been a long year for k-pop fans, and 2017 is getting ready to close. There are only a couple of weeks standing between fans and 2018, so Instagram has announced its top Korean profiles of the last year. Unsurprisingly, it was EXO and G-Dragon who crushed the competition with their social media presence.

South Korea had three categories which Instagram awarded for 2017 (via Soompi). The platform measured the top five accounts by followers, the most-loved profile, and the account with the most growth.

According to the results, G-Dragon took home the award for Most-Loved Account. The singer had the most likes and comments on Instagram in the last year. G-Dragon currently has 15.2 million followers on the site, so it's easy to see how the idol won the award.

As for the account with the most growth, Kwon Hyun Bin from JBJ took home the coveted prize.

When it came to the site's top Korean accounts, EXO led the charge after G-Dragon. The leader of BIGBANG came in first, but EXO followed up with Chanyeol, Sehun, and Baekhyun. Fifth place then went to Taeyeon from Girls' Generation.

EXO also nabbed a few extra categories from Instagram's end-of-year awards. Chanyeol won the award for Photo and Video with Most Likes. As for Most-Viewed Instagram Stories, Jessica came in first with Taeyeon, Jessi, Sooyoung, and Dok2 following.
