The "Whole Cake Island" arc has definitely been a fan-favorite as many things are happening at one time. Oda constantly finds a way to spin multiple plates at once in One Piece, and that for sure is most exemplified by the ending to one of the manga's chapters.

Chapter 863 features no less that five major key events happening over a two page spread, and it's all as the Sanji/Pudding wedding falls apart.

At the end of Chapter 863, Jinbe not only declares he's leaving Big Mom's pirate crew, but officially joins the Straw Hat Pirates (as they're ruining the wedding), declares Luffy will be the next Pirate King, offers Big Mom a cup of sake as a sign of respect (once again, as Big Mom is staring furiously at him), Jinbe reveals that Big Mom cant take his lifespan for some reason, and Brook, disguised as Luffy, breaks Big Mom's important picture of her mother.

Not only does 863 launch an even more wacky set of events, but Oda manages to cram so many key plot points into a single event. As evidence of the rest of the madness of the "Whole Cake Island" arc, this chain of events was technically only one small piece in a much larger puzzle.

Eiichiro Oda also revealed some upcoming news for One Piece's future at Jump Festa 2018. Not only will the manga see Wano sooner rather than later, the next villain of the series is "one of the legends which lurks in the One Piece world. The greatest enemy ever for Straw Hats will hinder their way...Can you believe Marineford Summit War will look 'cute' compared to that?"

The new live-action One Piece series also got some new information as it was revealed that the series will portray the Straw Hats' adventures from the very beginning, and will take place in the East Blue.

Eiichiro Oda's One Piece first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997. It has been collected into 87 volumes, with a few chapters yet to be included. It has been a critical and commercial success worldwide with many of the volumes breaking printing records in Japan. The manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author, and is the best selling manga series worldwide with 430 million copies sold worldwide.

One Piece is currently in the middle of the "Whole Cake Island" arc and is now streaming on Crunchyroll and FunimationNOW.
