Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse Premieres
After the return of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse premieres on FOX. Dollhouse is created, written, executive-produced, and directed by Joss Whedon, who is the creator behind Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly.
Dollhouse stars Buffy The Vampire Slayer alumna Eliza Dushku, who plays a character called Echo. Echo is a member of the Actives, which is a highly illegal and underground group of individuals. The Actives have had their personalities wiped clean, which allows them to be imprinted with any number of new personas.
The Actives are often hired by the wealthy, powerful and connected to become whomever the clients wants them to be. The Active wholly become the new personas with mind, personality and physiology.
Sometimes the Actives might be imprinted to be a lover, while other times they might take on the role of an assassin, a corporate negotiator or a best friend. The Actives only know the life of the specific engagements they are in at that time.
On the “Ghost” episode of Dollhouse, a businessman hires Echo to be the ultimate kidnapping negotiator when his young daughter is abducted. Also, FBI Agent Paul Ballard jeopardizes his career in his attempt to locate the elusive Dollhouse.
Ongoing cast for Dollhouse includes Eliza Dushku as Echo, Tahmoh Penikett as Paul Ballard, Olivia Williams as Adelle DeWitt, Fran Kranz as Topher Brink, Harry Lennix as Boyd Langton, Enver Gjokaj as Lubov, and Dichen Lachman as Sierra.
Guest stars for the “Ghost” episode include Amy Acker as Dr. Claire Saunders, Reed Diamond as Laurence Dominic, Brett Claywell as Matt, Kurt Caceres as Gabriel Crestejo, Haley Alexis Pullos as Davina Crestejo, Oscar Torres as Chui, David Doty as Dir. Sam Zimmerman, Vincent Laresca as Mr. Sunshine, and Tim Kelleher as Detmer.
The “Ghost” episode of Dollhouse airs on Friday, February 13 from 9:01 PM to 10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX.
