Ryan Reynolds Discusses The Possiblity Of A Deadpool Spin-off
On the eve of the Wolverine movie’s debut in theatres, actor Ryan Reynolds talked with MTV News to discuss the possibility of a Deadpool movie. According to the star, if he had his way, the Deadpool movie would be an R-rated musical with very crude undertones.
Though Reynolds’ tongue is firmly in cheek with his analogy, when it comes to the Merc with a Mouth, the actor may be on to something. “You definitely have to break the fourth wall and you have to find a way to make that make sense, which is no small feat. So it would involve a really talented writer, an amazing visionary director and I think a great collaboration between everybody passionate about this character,” Reynolds told MTV.

Five Great X-Men: The Animated Series Episodes
After digging up videos, buying bootleg DVD’s and skipping through thousands of listings on eBay, fans of the early 1990’s TV series X-Men can finally save themselves trouble and possible money. On April 28th, 2009 the series finally made its long-anticipated debut on legitimate DVD. The first thirty-three episodes of the series will be released in two volumes, with hopefully the rest of the seventy-six episodes to follow.
One of the things that made the show so popular was its adherence, mostly, to the mythology of the X-Men and its vast supporting characters. Most storylines and episodes had justice done to them, and the show wasn’t afraid to portray characters such as Sabretooth and Magneto as complicated and ruthless as they appeared in the comics. The show also had no problem extending some storylines, such as the Phoenix Saga, to more than just a one or two episode arc in order to tell the story as it should be told, not watered down for time.
With that in mind, here are five memorable episodes of the series, in no particular order, that made this show the standout that it was.
Free Comic Book Day Provides Recession Relief
With millions of Americans unemployed and the economy in a deep recession, many people are struggling when it comes to having money to spend for entertainment. High dollar sporting events and concerts are suffering, while people are turning to cheaper forms of entertainment like movies.

Just like a team of superheroes, the comic book industry is swooping in to save the day for entertainment starved, but financially strapped people everywhere.
It almost seems too good to be true. On Saturday, May 2, many comic book shops across the world will give away numerous comic books for absolutely free. No, you can’t go in and pick out a rare back issue, but there will be special free comic books supplied by the major publishers.

Legal Issues – Twentieth Century Fox, the studio behind X-Men Origins: Wolverine, got into a little bit of a legal tussle with Warner Bros. It wasn’t over the Wolverine movie, but it was over another highly anticipated comic book movie known as The Watchmen. An unbelievable good trailer for The Watchmen movie had whipped fanboys into a frenzy, so when Twentieth Century Fox’s lawsuit against Warner Bros. threatened to delay the premiere date of The Watchmen, some comic book fans threatened to show their displeasure by boycotting Twentieth Century Fox and not supporting the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie.

Deadpool - Another graduate of the Weapon X school, Wade Wilson became the wise-cracking Deadpool, a mercenary with accelerated healing, super-strength, hyper fighting ability and teleportation to boot. Since then he’s made various appearances across the Marvel universe, and has become one of the most popular anti-heroes that exist. How he will be shown in the film remains to be seen. Deadpool will be played by Ryan Reynolds.
Heroes Finale: Time To Hit The Reset Button
It’s time to hit the ‘reset’ button on Heroes. Oh, I know, a few months ago the producers fired some writers. Better stories are coming, they promised. Well, they lied. Instead of something fresh, something better, we got episode after episode of the same stuff. As a result, this show has hit an all time low.
