Will Heroes Finale Mean Death For A Hero?

The Heroes season four finale episode is entitled “An Invisible Thread” and will bring the “Fugitives” storyline to a close. The Heroes finale presents the showdown between Nathan Petrelli and Sylar. Sylar is attempting to get a meeting with the President, so that he can shapeshift into the President’s place, and Nathan is determined to keep Sylar from accomplishing his goal.
In last week’s “I Am Sylar” episode, Hiro got a rather nasty nosebleed when attempting to use his powers. This week, Hiro will continue to learn more about the repercussions to regaining his power. Also, Matt Parkman has to go to great lengths in order to protect his future with his family.
The teaser for the Heroes finale that NBC has been airing says that “every great victory comes with great sacrifice.” Also, an NBC promotional blurb hints that the fight to stop Sylar will have consequences that will change everything. It sure seems that NBC is suggesting that one of our heroes might be biting the dust on the finale.
If a hero does make the ultimate sacrifice, which hero will it be? The obvious choice would be Nathan Petrelli, since he’s the one who is to blame for the government tracking down those with abilities to begin with. A finale preview clip showing Sylar saying “Claire’s going to be so mad at me” could support this possibility. Wouldn’t Claire be mad at Sylar if he killed her biological father?
However, Heroes producers could also be looking to add a real twist to the finale. Claire might also be upset if Sylar killed her adoptive father HRG. Another possibility could be Claire’s uncle and Nathan’s brother Peter Petrelli.
Would Heroes producers even consider the possibility of killing off Claire Bennett herself? Probably not, Hayden Panettiere is one of the breakout stars of the series and NBC will likely want her around for future seasons. Plus, there have already been too many female characters to apparently die on this season of Heroes. After killing off both Tracy Strauss and Daphne, it’s unlikely that Heroes producers would allow one of the few remaining female characters to die in the finale.
Heroes producers could also plan to really mix things up with a less obvious choice and kill off Hiro or Matt Parkman. A preview does show Ando asking for 911 to be called for Hiro, and Matt might make the sacrifice to keep his family safe. Then again, isn’t it often the sidekick that gets killed off in comic books. Maybe, Ando should watch his step on the finale?
Guest stars for the Heroes finale include Michael Down and Zeljko Ivanek. The “An Invisible Thread” episode of Heroes airs on Monday, April 27 from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM on NBC.

Tracy is not dead, she will return in the finale. We already know the death will be caused by sylar and the victim will be male. Since I think nathan would be too obvious, I’m gonna go with peter
