Fringe really has become one of the best shows on television, and FOX has rewarded the show with a second season. According to FOX, Fringe is the number one new series among adults ages eighteen to forty-nine. Fringe has been winning its Tuesday time period among key demographics (of course, having American Idol as a lead-in probably doesn’t hurt).
“Fringe proved to be a notable addition to our schedule all season and it really has fans buzzing as it builds to a fantastic season finale,” said Kevin Reilly, who is President of Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company. “J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them.”
“Fringe continues to gain momentum, creatively and with viewers,” said J.J. Abrams, who is series co-creator and executive producer. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Fringe will continue to freak people out for at least another season!”
If you missed “The Road Not Taken” episode of Fringe, be sure to check out our recap. Next week, the Fringe finale will feature a very special guest star…Leonard Nimoy. Great timing with the Star Trek movie premiering this weekend.
