Heroes is returning for a fourth season, and for many fans, it is a do or die year for Heroes. The series won rave reviews for its first season, but it has struggled in both critical reviews and ratings in subsequent seasons. Heroes is obviously an important show for NBC, as like ABC’s Lost, the show has huge potential to develop a very fanatical following.
The fourth season kicks off with “Volume Five: Redemption.” The season premiere is a two-hour episode called “Orientation/Jump, Push, Fall.” According to an NBC promotional blurb, the premiere will feature the introduction of a mysterious carnival clan whose intentions are unknown.
Among the returning heroes, Claire Bennet is adjusting to life at college, but a mysterious death puts her back into the spotlight once again. Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi attempt to help people by promoting their abilities. Angela Petrelli fears that Nathan Petrelli will soon discover his true identity. Matt Parkman finds himself haunted by an unexpected visitor. Tracy Strauss and H.R.G. join forces to look for a motive in a horrific crime. Peter Petrelli uses his abilities for good, but is called upon to aid an old friend.
The previously mentioned mysterious carnival clan is led by ringleader Samuel, who is played by Robert Knepper. Guest stars for this episode include Rachel Melvin, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Ashley Crow, Lisa Lackey, Assaf Cohen, and Saemi Nakamura. Heroes premieres on Monday, September 21 at 8 PM ET on NBC.
