Skrulls In Avengers Movie Dr. Pepper Game

Avengers director Joss Whedon has gone on record as saying that the Skrulls are not the alien race in The Avengers movie. However, someone needs to tell Marvel's promotional partners. The Skrulls seem to keep popping up in Avengers movie tie-ins. Earlier this year, Skrulls were shown in an Avengers movie board game from Jakks Pacific. Now, Skulls have popped up in an Avengers movie tie-in online game from Dr. Pepper. The Dr. Pepper game is called "Skrull Takedown" and features Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man. Hawkeye and Black Widow are absent, which seems to be the case with a lot of the movie tie-ins.

According to a description of the game, "Nick Fury, the head of SHIELD has tasked the Avengers with stopping the Skrull threat once and for all. They are to take the fight to the Skrull homeworld and defeat the Skrull Queen. Avenger Assemble!" Of course, just because the Skrulls are featured in the Dr. Pepper online game doesn't mean they will be in the Avengers movie. However, one has to wonder why Dr. Pepper wouldn't just use generic aliens rather than a specific alien race. Could it be that Marvel has pulled off one of the greatest tricks ever and that the Skrulls will actually be in The Avengers? With the world premiere of The Avengers only days away, everyone is bound to know for sure soon.
