Avengers Salute Everyday Heroes at Tribeca

As part of the closing night festivities of this year's Tribeca Film Festival, Avengers castmembers Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg and Cobie Smulders took to the stage to honor "everyday heroes" including first responsders from the New York Police and Fire Departments as well as members of America's military. Included in the tribute were service men and women from the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. The festival closed last night with the New York premiere of The Avengers, kicking off a week of screenings and special events in New York City for a number of the actors leading up to next Friday's big release. Fandango is predicting a $150 million dollar domestic opening weekend for the film, which Box Office Mojo estimates made $36 million Friday night during its international opening night.
