The Dark Knight Rises Review Roundup

After yesterday's reports of a landslide among pre-ordered tickets, it looked like The Dark Knight Rises might cruise to a handy victory over newcomers Total Recall and Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3: Dog Days. Now, though, as the first reports are starting to come in from studios, Deadline is reporting that The Dark Knight Rises and Total Recall will have a tight race for the top spot this weekend, with Diary of a Wimpy Kid 3 coming in not far behind. The numbers so far appear to indicate that The Dark Knight Rises will make around between $8 million and $10 million today for a total of $27 million to $33 million this weekend, with Total Recall squeaking in just behind it. The remake of Paul Verhoeven's smash-hit film based on Philip K. Dick's novel is expected to take in more today, ranging from $9.5 million to $12.5 million today while making between $26 million and $32 million for the weekend. Wimpy Kid 3 should take in between $7 million and $8 million today, for a total of between $19 million and $23 million this weekend.
