Iron Man 3 is looking for “fit, athletic” extras, possibly with military experience, for all-night filming this week, according to the Caged Heat Casting Facebook page.
Caged is the alias that Iron Man 3 uses when filming, although in the earliest stages it was called Caged Heat, hence the site name.
CAGED: Seeking Fit Athletic Types (could also use Military types). Should be comfortable with heights. Must be available to film for 5 nights -Fri, Sat., Sun., Mon. & Tuesday. This will be ALL NIGHT filming (meaning filming thru the night until the morning). These will be full filming days (meaning you could be needed 12 hours or so). Those selected will also need to be available to attend a fitting this week. If fully available ALL 5 NIGHTS please submit to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with heading 5 NIGHTS. Please include a current snapshot, age, height, weight, clothings sizes, phone number and city and state you reside. (No housing will be provided as this is an extras position).
While they don’t make it clear where they’re looking for help, it’s likely either Wilmington, NC or Miami, FL, as those are the two American cities where the movie is confirmed to be filming. Most of the photography seems to be happening in North Carolina.
Iron Man 3 is taking advantage of lucrative film incentives in North Carolina, a practice that’s been criticized by conservative pundits as “old-fashioned corporate welfare.” We spoke with the author of a report to that effect recently, and will be publishing an interview with representatives from North Carolina’s Film Commission this week.
