Thanks to our pals over at Cosmic Book News, we’ve got a look at this image, released yesterday to the Jim Lee fan page on Facebook and drawn on DC Comics interior art paper.
The image, so far just a shot of Superman with no background, is labeled “Superman Mural” and will reportedly be inked by Scott Williams, but so far all there is, are these pencils.
That there will be inks at all appears to suggest that the work is for publication, which begs the question: is this really a mural, for something like a pin-up book or the gallery in the back of a Justice League collected edition…or is it interior art for a publishable work, possibly the rumored Man of Steel series by Lee and writer Scott Snyder?
