Toy Fair: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles First Look

 Contributing Photographer C.S. Muncy is in New York today for Toy Fair 2013, and has provided us with a number of photos taken while on the move. Among them? a look at some of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles licensed toys fans can expect in the next few months. The crown jewel of the display is the Pop Up Pizza Playset at left, with action figures, vehicles and cool things hanging all around it. And, yes, it comes in a pizza box-looking container. Which is, yes, awesome. Starting at street level, the playset features a DumpSter and manhole cover, leading down the sewers where the Ninja Turtles make their home. There are multiple levels with windows, platforms and things to hang or carom your ninja heroes off of, plus a training area on the bottom floor, complete with a kicking target. There also seems to be a bad guy's corner, with a climbing wall, some computers, pipes full of mutagenic ooze and a dungeon of some kind. And if you look close at the action figures, there's one of those Michaelangelo figures that looks pretty similar to a certain sketch rumored to be drawn for Michael Bay's Ninja Turtles. And, yes, they're selling little canisters of mutagenic ooze*, complete with little turtles ripe for mutation. Of course, those turtles already have teeny-tiny martial arts-themed weaponry strapped to their back...which is an odd thing for them to have prior to their mutation. Also--did those weapons grow with the turtles as they mutated? This seems fishy...! Check 'em out below. *Mutagenic ooze may not mutate you in the way you want. It may not mutate you at all.
