Saturday Night Live Walking Dead Skit

Saturday Night Live finally took aim at The Walking Dead with a skit spoofing the popular AMC TV show. The skit started out with Daryl, Rick, Carl, and Maggie deciding to camp out for the night. Carl volunteered to take first watch, saying "I'm twelve now, so I'm totally ready to kill. I'm good at killing, and I feel emotionally fine after I do it." A character named Lyle, who is played by host Kevin Hart, emerges from behind some rubble. Rick asks Lyle if he's been bitten, and Lyle says he's clean. As Rick conferences with his group, a walker bites Lyle in the neck. Rick tells Lyle that they've decided to let him in their group, but that if Lyle gets bitten by a walker then he will not hesitate to kill him. Carl volunteers, "Or I'll do it. I shot my own mom when she was turning into a zombie and it didn't screw up my head at all." As he's thanking Rick's group, Lyle starts growling. Rick accuses Lyle of being one of them, and Lyle accuses Rick of being racist. Rick says that they're not racist that they just thought Lyle was turning into a zombie. Lyle responds, "So when someone comes from a different culture background than you, they are automatically a zombie, that's what you're telling me." Rick sends Maggie to take Lyle to get some water. Lyle starts growling and limping. Daryl points out that Lyle didn't have a bum leg when they first met him, but Lyle responds, "Ok, you ain't ever seen a classic pimp walk before. It's called swag, son" Daryl apologizes, but Carl points out that Lyle is eating Maggie. When Rick's group confronts Lyle over eating their friend, Lyle says, "Ok, I'm sorry. Would you rather I just eat some fried chicken or some watermelon?" Daryl and Rick apologize again, but Carl insists that Lyle is a zombie. Carl points out that Lyle is doing the Thriller dance, but Rick says, "Carl, Thriller is a very special dance for many African-Americans." When Carl points out that Lyle's foot fell off, Lyle says it's just diabetes. However, when Lyle lunges for them, Carl shoots Lyle in the head. Carl says, "I told you he was a zombie." Rick adds, "Good work, Carl, knew we weren't racist."
