Days of Future Past: Alan Cumming Officially Out

After a report yesterday that Alan Cumming's return as Nightcrawler wasn't going to happen, the actor confirmed during a radio interview that it wasn't going to happen yesterday. "No, they haven't [asked me to return]," Cumming told Sirius XM. "Someone asked me that the other day and I said no. I know the one that's coming up shoots this Spring, but I wouldn't be available anyways. I dont think they have. I was gonna meet my manager for dinner later, I was gonna ask him, but no, I'm sure they would've told me, had they approached." Cumming had previously said that he'd be willing to participate if asked--but that nobody had called him yet. A couple of days ago, X-Men: First Class star James McAvoy erroneously listed Cumming as among those returning for the sequel, setting off a new round of speculation.
