Iron Man 3 First Clip: Tony Stark Hates Cell Phones

In the first Iron Man 3 clip released by Marvel Studios, Tony Stark does what a lot of celebrities have been known to do to cell phones that reporters use to film them. Tony Stark grabs the cell phone away from the reporter and hurls it into a brick wall. He then tells the reporter to bill him for the smashed cell phone and drives away. Of course, unlike most celebrities who are probably trying to destroy whatever footage the paparazzi might have taken, Tony Stark's cell phone smashing was more of just a release of pent-up anger. The scene revolves around a "holiday greeting" that Tony Stark issues to The Mandarin. Stark basically holds an impromptu press conference outside a hospital to tell The Mandarin that he's not afraid of him. Stark even gives The Mandarin his home address, and judging from previously released trailers we all know how that is going to turn out. While the scene is both riveting and powerful, we couldn't help but laugh at the image of the terrified elderly couple peering our from behind the brick column that Tony Stark smashes the cell phone into. Maybe, the elderly couple thought that Tony Stark was throwing the cell phone at them? Imagine the lawsuit and the headlines if Stark had missed the column and hit the elderly couple. Iron Man 3 is set to be released at movie theaters in the United States on May 3, 2013.
