The Wolverine: First Look At Silver Samurai The Giant Robot?

The Wolverine CinemaCon trailer was released earlier today with plenty of new footage, including the first look at the Silver Samurai. The Silver Samurai first appears briefly at the forty-one second mark in the trailer, providing a good view of the face mask of Silver Samurai. About a second later, there is a side view of Silver Samurai locked in battle with Wolverine. In the side view shot, Silver Samurai towers over Wolverine in giant robotic fashion. In fact, Silver Samurai even appears to have rivets on his leg armor, leading many to speculate that Silver Samurai might actually be portrayed as a giant robot in The Wolverine. While the robotic Silver Samurai looks kind of cool, it's also causing some fanboy outrage because...well, because Silver Samurai looks to be a giant robot. There is always the possibility that there is a man inside the robotic armor, which probably wouldn't make it much better for some fans. And even though many are interpreting the giant robot with a sword to be the Silver Samurai, it's also possible that's not Silver Samurai at all. The Wolverine is set to premiere in movie theaters in the United States on July 26, 2013.
