, the new film starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg and based on the Boom! Studios series of graphic novels, will premiere at Locarno on August 2, opening the famed film festival and competition. The film will be released in the U.S. on August 2 and have its international premiere in Locarno on August 7. The film centers around a pair of competing undercover operatives from different agencies who are forced to work with one another when they go on the run together. Director Baltasar Kormákur's breakout film 101 Reykjavik debuted in competition at Locarno in 2000.
