Man Of Steel Henry Cavill Christopher Reeve

So there's been a rumor sweeping the Internet that Christopher Reeve had a cameo in Man Of Steel. And we have to take some credit in helping to start the rumor, because we were the first to report on emails from our readers pointing out that it looked like Henry Cavill's face morphed into Christopher Reeve's face in one particular scene in Man Of Steel. This combined with earlier rumors of a classic Superman movie actor cameo in Man Of Steel had us thinking that it might be true, even though we professed it was probably just a coincidence. We later discovered that the rumored classic Superman movie actor cameo was actually actor Aaron Smolinski, who played baby Clark Kent in the 1978 Superman movie. Even though the revelation of the Smolinski cameo casts some doubt on the Christopher Reeve rumor, the footage of the scene that later surfaced on the Internet did look an awful lot like Christopher Reeve, so we reached out to Warner Bros. for official clarification. Even though Warner Bros. has responded to our emails, no one from Warner Bros. has been able to confirm or deny whether Christopher Reeve appears in Man Of Steel or not. Our guess is that they are probably unsure themselves, as it could have been something that occurred late in post-production, but we will update you if we do hear a definitive answer. We did hear secondhand that someone working in post-production said that they were unaware of the Christopher Reeve's image being inserted. However, it's probably a question that director Zack Snyder will have to eventually answer.
