The Amazing Spider-Man 2: First Look At Electro In Costume

While some previous photos of Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have circulated on the Internet, none of them ever showed Electro in costume, which led many fans to speculate if Electro might just wear street clothes in the film. However, the brand new cover of Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con cover reveals that Electro will indeed have a costume. The costume looks nothing like the yellow and green costume which Electro traditionally wears in the comic books, which probably would have looked ludicrous on the big screen anyway. Many had expected that Electro's big screen costume might be based on the Electro in Marvel's alternate Ultimate Universe, but Electro's costume appears to be a fairly original creation just for the movie. It actually looks better than what it probably would have looked like had Marvel Studios tried to adapt one of Elector's comic book costumes. The Comic-Con preview issue of Entertainment Weekly is scheduled to hit newsstands this week. In addition to the first look at Electro in costume, the issue will contain details on a set visit to The Amazing Spider-Man 2, as well as a preview of 2013 San Diego Comic-Con.
