Ben Affleck as Batman

Here's a rumor that sounds odd to us, but it could always be true. According to Batman-On-Film.com, Warner Bros. is looking for an older actor to play Batman in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie. By older actor, they reportedly mean someone in their forties. Some of the names that are being speculated upon include Josh Duhamel, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Josh Brolin, Jon Hamm, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, and Jim Caviezel. Of course, there was a rumor awhile back that Warner Bros. wanted Ben Affleck to not only direct a Justice League movie but to also play Batman in a Justice League movie. If Warner Bros. is still trying to recruit Ben Affleck to direct Justice League, then it might make sense for them to offer him the Batman role. What seems a little odd about this rumor is that if Warner Bros. wants a forty year old actor to play Batman, then why wouldn't they just make a full court press to bring Christian Bale back? The last that Christian Bale commented on the matter he indicated that Warner Bros hadn't even approached him about returning as Batman. If Warner Bros. is going to relaunch the Batman franchise with someone new, then it would seem more likely that they would go after a younger actor, who could play Batman in numerous movies to come.
