Star Wars Episode VII Will Reportedly Bring Back Emperor Palpatine

According to Jedi News, an insider has told them that veteran actor Ian McDiarmid will return for Star Wars Episode VII, reprising his role as Emperor Palpatine. According to the site, it's unclear whether he would be "the original" Palpatine who apparently died in battle with Darth Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi, or a new version of the character--a clone, or some other plot contrivance to bring him back. Star Wars Episode VII is due out in 2015. The film will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a story by Michael Arndt, and several other members of the original Star Wars cast are rumored to return.
