The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Box Set

While everyone's attention has been focused lately on Ben Affleck being cast as the new Batman, it's time to go back down memory lane with Dark Knight trilogy director Christopher Nolan. Next Tuesday will mark the release of The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition, which contains some new exclusive behind-the-scenes material. In what is likely to be the first of many exclusive clips to be released online, USA Today has a clip of Christopher Nolan talking about the cinematic reality of his version of Batman. "But it's about what I suppose you might term a cinematic reality," Nolan explains. "It's about giving the world of the films and the characters as much weight and validity as they would if your source material were not a comic book — if he was a character in another genre of film you were having to introduce to the audience for the first time and get them to believe it. That's what my use of the reality is about. It's not about a literal reality." The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector's Edition new special features include the following. The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy – The inside perspective on the fascinating story behind the creation of one of the most celebrated franchises and how it changed the scope of movie making…forever.
