During a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, embedded below, X-Men: Days of Future Past star James McAvoy admitted to his love for the '80s TV franchise ThunderCats, his desire to see the toon (which recently concluded a short-lived relaunch) resurrected as a feature film...and the desire to play Lion-O, the head of the ThunderCats, in the film. Noting that the role is something meaty for an actor to dig into--a powerful man with responsibilities to his people but the intellect of a 12-year-old--McAvoy said that it's the kind of rare property that could get both huge box office and critical acclaim for whoever got the part. "It's basically the movie Vice Versa," he joked, "but with super powers and the Sword of Omens. That's amazing. That could be an Oscar as well as box office bait!"
