In a new video interview with IGN, Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige provided several interesting updates on the Ant-Man movie. Edgar Wright had already confirmed on Twitter that he had started work on Ant-Man, but Feige also re-affirmed that Wright is going into the Marvel office every day now to work on the film. "[Edgar Wright] is working on just sort of tweaking the drafts with Joe Cornish," said Feige. "Who is now a big director in his own right of course.  And we're crewing up and prepping, and there should be some cast announcements probably before the end of the year." Comicbook.com was first to report on a rumor earlier this year that Paul Rudd was in the running for Ant-Man, which has been confirmed by Variety. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also reportedly in the running for the role, but Gordon-Levitt himself downplayed those rumors. In the IGN interview, Feige refused to make any official casting announcements yet. In describing the Ant-Man movie, Feige said, "I think it will be very Edgar Wright in tone, but I think it's a disservice to Edgar to just say, 'Oh, it's a comedy," as we're often asked about. He wants to do something very unique with it. In the way that Alan did something very unique in the Dark World. And Edgar, early on going back years and years when he first was pitching it, pitched it as much as a heist movie as anything else." Of course, calling the film a heist movie seems like a hint that the movie could be based on the "To Steal Ant-Man" storyline, which means Scott Lang could be Ant-Man. Edgar Wright previously confirmed that Hank Pym will be part of the movie, but he's never said for certain if Pym is the central Ant-Man in the movie.
