Standman Overture First Look

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Neil Gaiman's award-winning series and with The Sandman: Overture #1 due in stores tomorrow, fans can get every comic in the entire 75-issue epic for 99¢ each at ComiXology from now until November 4. A number of other tie-ins, spinoffs and the like are also included in the sale, according to an e-mail ComiXology just sent out, bring the total number of books you can get for less than a buck a piece to 115. The other books include Sandman: The Dream Hunters by Gaiman and Yoshitaka Amano as well as miniseries starring Death, The Dead Boy Detectives and Lucifer. Fairly recently, a Gaiman-ized version of Lucifer showed up in the New 52, suggesting that The Sandman might be returning to the DC Universe proper (Justice League members showed up in early issues of the series, and Dream himself appeared briefly in Grant Morrison's JLA run), but the new series, featuring art by former Batwoman penciller J.H. Williams III, will carry DC's mature readers Vertigo banner on the cover.
